Youth Team Members

Jasmine is Shukrana's Junior Fundraising Co-ordinator. From age nine, Jasmine has donated her own money to Shukrana, and she has been an avid baker for our bake sales. Through these fundraising events, Jasmine has raised over $4,000 for the charity. She has recruited youth to be involved in fundraisers and volunteering. She has been the head junior camp counsellor in both of our PA day Activist Camps! Jasmine will continue her fantastic fundraising work in the future through more bake sales, as well as continuing to help in future camps.
Simran has been helping at Shukrana since 2014! She began by taking feedback surveys and polls. Over the years she has participated in eight fundraisers, including bake sales and door-to-door events. She has helped to raise $1500+ for the charity. For 2021, she is a lead on the planning committee for the largest bake sale fundraiser we have ever planned.​ 
Anastasia has been a Junior Camp Counsellor at both our 2018 and 2019 PA Day Activist Camps! Anastasia has also donated her own money to the charity. She is a great helper with the younger kids and always brings a positive attitude and enthusiastic spirit to our youth events. Anastasia will continue volunteering as a Junior Camp Counsellor at our future camps.
Diego attended our second PA Day Activist Camp. Afterwards, he reached out to get involved further with the charity! He joined us at the July 2019 Bake Sale. Together with Marcos and Scout, Diego helped put together the plan for a mini-sports-camp fundraiser. Diego will be a junior camp counsellor at our next camp, as well as a volunteer in future bake sale fundraisers. Diego has helped raise ~$600 for the charity.
Marcos attended our second PA Day Activist Camp, and also joined us to volunteer at our July Bake Sale in 2019. From there, Marcos was on the team to make a mini-sports camp as a fundraiser for the charity. Marcos has helped raise ~$600 for the charity. He will be attending future camps as a helper or junior counsellor, and will also be participating in bake sale fundraisers!
