Darshan Arora had the dream of creating a charity that would help advance, support and enrich education for children in India and Peru. Being the persevering and dedicated man he is, he did many, many hours of hard work to get this charity established. He made efforts to found a charity in Fall 2013, and he continued his work finishing the final steps of registering the charity. Since then, he has been working hard to manage the charity. He is in charge of deciding where donations go, establishing partnerships with other charities, approving applications for scholarships, getting donations, accounting and more.

After Scout Collins heard Darshan Arora wanted to found a charity, she was eager to help. She volunteered to design the website, and grew her volunteer work into designing a logo, sending out newsletters, some secretarial work, social media management and fundraising co-ordination. She is excited to help Shukrana grow into a better charity. She helps organise all fundraising events. She established her own Youth Fundraising Program that has gotten kids to raise over $1,800 so far. In 2018 she ran her own camp to teach kids about getting involved and education. Scout has and always will be a part of Shukrana, as she has dedicated many hours into the charity and will always continue to do so!
Jagpreet Arora

Growing up in the Arora Family, Jag, like her siblings, learned the value and benefits of a good education and has been grateful for the opportunity to pursue an education in psychology and medicine. She practises medical psychotherapy as her job. She is one of the two directors of the Shukrana Foundation. She donates and is very supportive of fundraising events as well as helping out in many other ways. She helps drive volunteers and supplies, is a photographer at events and enjoys sharing her ideas about Shukrana's projects.
Jasmine Collins
Junior fundraising co-ordinator (youth)
Jasmine Collins is a young fundraiser, who has helped raise over $1,800 for Shukrana. She has been promoted to Youth Fundraising Co-ordinator - her job is to recruit new people to get involved in fundraising events, while maintaining current involvement in fundraising. She has been an active part of Shukrana from the beginning, by helping out in any way she can. She takes surveys and polls, donates, fundraises, recruits and more. She has gone door-to-door fundraising, and run bake & drink sales. She donates time, money and effort to our Youth Programs in Canada, getting many of her friends and neighbours involved in helping out.
